Gary has been cast as Oscar in the play A Standing Date directed by Vic Torenzio and written by Sib Law. More information can be found on http://www.facebook.com/AStandingDate.

Synopsis:

Oscar and Holly meet each other in the standing section of an outdoor concert at the Oscar D’Asti winery. They couldn’t be more different from each other. He’s the grandson of Oscar D’Asti and lives in the shadow of that generation. She’s a no-nonsense, determined woman who recently put herself through school. But there is something about Holly that reminds Oscar of his deceased mother whose support he deeply misses. A Standing Date is a window into a blind date full of power exchange, intrigue, wine, and heartstrings. It captures the romantic possibilities of just one night.

Performances dates are:

October 28, 29, 30, November 4, 5 & 6, 2010 at 8:00pm & November 7, 2010 at 2:00pm

Gary has been cast in TO DYE FOR, a short about 3 men with different lifestyles who live together and face their ultimate challenge – women.

TO DYE FOR will be directed by Richard Dobbs (DGA) and is written by Marty Lang.

Shoot dates are June 24th – July 2nd in Connecticut (CT).

I wrote a blog titled “Act(ing) Your Age or the Part” discussing the age of an actor Vs the age of the character.

Here is a snippet:

It was recently suggested that I watch Fox’s new show Glee. With some hesitation I sat down with emma and found ourselves laughing at a ridiculous and lighthearted show. Recommendations FTW!

While watching the show something got to me. For those not in the know the show is about a high school glee club. The character Rachel stood out to us very quickly. We recognized her from ‘Spring Awakening’ a Broadway musical. She plays a sophomore… A sophomore… In high school. Wait-a-minute. She was on Broadway a few years ago… She doesn’t look 15/16.
