Production experience

Stage directions turned out to be a hot topic. Sure, they helped, but they also added a dash of confusion. The stage directions didn’t fit the tone for the play that we were creating. One night a few of us talked about the audience (of SLC in 2008) and how might differ from the original audience.

While I’m not of the opinion that intellectualism is a great way to get to the heart of a character, this short discussion changed my approach to Spencer. He felt uneasy, unhappy, and unsure how to be happy around the one true salvation in his life. Yes. Spencer took on new life after he we figured out which life he was living. I smiled… On the inside… To myself. =)
