Production experience
I did not think we were going to be ready. The lines were so fast and so many! While speaking with other grads about the time crunch I learned that it was a running thread of dialog.
Somehow, effort, and someway, drive, we pulled the piece together. During the show sweat poured off of me and the words out of me. It was a rush. I can admit that I was resistant to the piece while rehearsed but as the show neared I felt the energy pick up all around bringing new life to Red Cross.
I know I could have but will have happy memories that the show only ran two nights! My physical limits were pushed for the first time along side my acting abilities. Whoohoo! I had so much fun!
Side note — The piece speaks to the topic of lice, nits, and ticks… Curiously enough during the day of opening night there was an email sent to the campus community about head lice. Life imitating art?! Thankfully NO! Phew.
